Connecticut State Museum of Natural History
The Connecticut State Museum of Natural History (CSMNH) highlights Connecticut's rich natural and cultural heritage to inspire wonder in and appreciation of the natural world. We use our collections and programming to tell meaningful stories that impact our visitors and create opportunities for community interactions. The CSMNH is dedicated to engaging with community members to address some of the most pressing challenges we face in the 21st century: biodiversity loss, climate change, energy and food security, environmental pollution, and sustainability. The Connecticut State Museum of Natural History is excited to bring our kid-friendly Shoebox Archaeology Activity to Third Thursday! This activity is designed to be engaging while teaching about the basics of archaeological field work. Kids will become archaeologists and experience discovery while uncovering artifacts during a mock excavation.
